What is the medicinal use of demerol (meperidine hydrochloride)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Older pain med: People like demerol (meperidine hydrochloride). It's a fact. There's something about it that gives a better comfort to those suffering with pain. Unfortunately, there is a toxic byproduct that keeps us from using it for chronic pain. Most ers have switched to Dilaudid and /or toradol.
