Immobilize: A foot fracture, depending on the severity can be set and immobilized by taping or a cast depending on its location and type of fracture.

Depends on site: There are some foot fractures that do not require surgery and can be treated by immobilization. Many factors can change the treatment opinion of your doctor including: location, type of fracture (some are more stable and others very unstable), injury force, whether the fracture is open or closed, personal medical history and health, and many more. Talk to your doctor to understand the plan.

Yes: Some displaced or fragmented fractures will need to be re-aligned and fixated surgically.
