Common: Phlegmon is quite commonly seen in babies. Of course, it often appears concerning and worries parents, but it is not harmful and will often resolve spontanously.

Babys and touch: Any form of touch is generally good and can help to solidify a bond. Just, as you suggest, don't overdue it. If the baby doesn't like it, however, hr or she will likely tell you!
