Scars are permanent: You can seek plastic surgical opinions on improving the position of the scars, or improving the quality of the closure, but your own genetics of healing cannot be altered. The best scars are well-placed, meticulously-closed without tension (layers), and kept from ultraviolet exposure so they don't darken. Sometimes scar revision or laser treatments can improve them. Acne scar treatments: Multiple options for improving the appearance of "ice pick" acne scars exist. Depending on your skin and exact circumstances your facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist may recommend laser treatments (including co2, 1550 nm erbium), peels, dermabrasion, or well as topical treatments. Seek a physician with experience.

Scar in front of ear: Scar placement in front of the ear, especially in women, is often done behind the tragus so it's not visible. A relatively minor touch up procedure can correct the pre auricular scar.

Facelift scar issues: Facelift scars can be improved. In many cases, time is all that is needed. Beyond 6-12 months, however, some intervention is needed to create further improvement. This can range from medical tattooing to scar revision procedures. I hope this information is helpful. Stephen weber, M.D. Lone tree facial plastic surgeon.

See your surgeon: If they need to be revised surgeons typically wait one year. Your original surgeon probably will revise them at no charge.

Facelift scars: Dear toni, a small scar revision can improve those scars. You should bring this up to your plastic surgeon, usually we hide these scars within the folds of the ears. If you do not get an answer you like, i would seek out a second opinion. Best, nima shemirani.

It depends: These scars fade to nearly invisible in most patients if the facelift is a success. With the advet of mini-skin only facelift more complications are seen with widened scarring. In this case a revision with a true structurally sound facelift is indicated.

Facelift scars: you can never get rid of a scar however, it can be revised. Your best bet would be to have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
