Not yet: Cord blood has stem cells that one day may be used to treat genetic disorders but it is not a practical solutions at this time.

CordBlood transplant: There are a variety of genetic diseases (metabolic disorders, immunodeficiencies, hemoglobinopathies) that can be cured using a cord blood transplant (similar to bone marrow transplant, but using cord blood as the source of stem cells).
