Pain: Yes. You should see a dentist asap as you might have a infection in the bone.

Yes. : A pulpitis, usually caused by caries or tooth decay, in a lower molar will cause excruciating pain in the mandible that radiates to your ear. You must have treatment, either endodontic therapy ("root canal") or extraction to resolve your pain. Left untreated this can cause serious infection that can be life threatening. I have had two patients admitted to hospital by refusing treatment.
