What can i do or eat health wise that will help the adema in my legs due to the removal of lengthnodes in that area?

Good circulation: Loss of lymph nodes can lead to edema. Maintaining good circulation should help. Light exercise to mobilize fluid and avoiding prolonged periods of "dependent" positioning (meaning effected area is below your heart) - so elevating the effected extremity. Massage & compression can sometimes be helpful as well. Limiting the amount of salt in diet can also effect fluid retention in tissues. Goodluck!

Lymphedemaspecialist: You have secondary lymphedema from the groin dissection, and using compression hose and seeing a lymphedema specialist (physical therapy dept) will help. See a phlebologist at www.Phlebology.Org for evaluation of venous system in legs as venous insufficiency contributes to the edema, and correcting that may also help.
