A member asked:

Will a colonic help flatten my stomach?

5 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

No: Colonics are simply used to flush the colon of stool. These are not advised and have resulted in significant injuries . A "flat stomach" is accomplished by eating a healthy well balanced diet and working out your abs. There are no quick fixes here , sorry.

Don't do it!: Healthtap physicians have repeatedly addressed this subject with a clear "no" answer to your question. There is virtually no value to colon flushes, cleansers, enemas, irrigation machines when the technique is accomplished to "detox" or eliminate "accumulated waste" or for weight loss. There are few real health benefits, but sigificant unjustified risk. Don't use colonics please unless prescribed.
