Swelling: This could possibly be a tooth infection or a blocked parotid ( salivary) duct. You should see your dentist as soon as possible. He will run some quick tests of the teeth in the area and take a x-ray to evaluate.

Infection: You may have a chronic infection, so there is no pain. The infection is worsening, possibly due to another illness, so the infection is beginning to spread. Since the lymph node is beginning to swell, it is a good idea to see a dentist for an evaluation of an abscessed tooth. If none is noted, see you physician for further diagnosis.
