A member asked:

How often should you lift weights?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Every other day: Weight lifting or strength straining is an important part of weight management. Generally, you should only work each muscle group every other day. For example, if you do upper body strength training today you should take a day off before doing it again. Your muscles need time to recover from strength training, it is during this recovery that they become stronger.
