A member asked:

What kinds of medicine are antibacterial and over the counter?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Creams and ointments: Antibiotics that you take by mouth are not available over the counter. However, creams and ointments for cuts and scrapes (like neosporin) have a small amount of antibiotic in them but are only for use on these small injuries and will not treat larger infections. See your doctor if you think you need antibiotics.
