See an eye doctor: As we age the clear tissue that covers the sclera is exposed to the environment and like the rest of our body undergoes aging changes. These changes include pigmentary changes, increase in size of blood vessels, and slight darkening of the conjunctiva when compared to the part of eye under the lids. To rule out disease see an eye doctor. Avoid abuse of drops to.

White sclera : Try artificial tears, ointment at night, stay hydrated, warm compresses, omega-3 fatty acid supplements. Occasional get-the-red-out drops and/or allergy drops may also help. If no improvement, see an eye doctor.

White eyes: Most likely it is the layer above the sclera called conjunctiva that may be red. There are many causes of red eyes; therefore, there is no one fix to curing it. Please see your ophthalmologist or optometrist for initial evaluation.
