I have 2 children. i always was thin until i had my kids. i am 5 ft tall and always weighed 110 to 115. now i weigh 170 and i seem to not be able to loose it. can it be that i will never loose it? what can i do?

Weight gain: Weight gain usually occurs during pregnancy, most people loose the weight after pregnancy but some retain it , diet and excercise may help, also as one ages one has a tendency to gain weight, hypothyroidism can also cause weight.

BMR: That's a tough question without more info. A physical exam and blood work to check hormones and thyroid etc. Then a BMR test to see where your baseline metabolism is at. Then a systematic exercise coupled with diet regimen should help. I have 3 kids and i'm 5'3" and 105! it can be done but takes work!
