Big difference: There is quite a difference in the strength of these two medications. It is not uncommon to use a different immediate release medication closer to bedtime if your regular medication causes insomnia. You should discuss this with you pain management provider.

Yes...but: Talk to your doctor.Only take them if they are prescribed to you. You certainly can take the medication as you ask.
