Other issues.: It's important that your hypothyroidism is correctly treated. Your doctor should check this at least yearly. You may also have a condition unrelated to your hypothyroidism which requires a doctor to look into your history. Examples include prior sensitivity to dental agents, mitral valve prolapse or other heart valve problems.

Healing problems: Patients with hypothyroidism can have healing problems and blood pressure problems if sedation or general anesthesia is used.

If your: Hyporhyroidism is treated and stable, so that with medications your effective function is within normal limits, you shouldn't need clearance. If there is some reason to believe that you may not be optimized, you should check with your pmd before having any procedure.
