A member asked:

What problems can i have with stylohyoid syndrome n can it cause any life threatening problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eagles Syndrome: Elongation or inflammation related to the styloid process or stylohyoid ligament can result in chronic pain at the base of the skull/back of the throat. Management starts with anti-inflammatory medications and may in some cases progress to surgery where indicated. I do not know of any life threatening problems.
