For how long should a broken foot hurt after getting in a cast?

It takes: Approx 6-8 weeks for a broken bone to heal. Pain will be worse after the initial injury and should decrease as time passes. Elevation, ice behind your knee, antiinflammatories and even pain killers can help during the uncomfortable time. Make sure the color of your toes is normal and the cast is not too tight.

Depends: If fracture is non displaced than it will take 3 weeks to start glueing together. When the bone is glueing together it will not move and thus the pain will go down. However if there is gapping or if the fracture is unstable it can take 2 months to start feeling better.

Unknown: It is possible to hurt until the bone heals. Most time the cast relieves pain. You may need crutches.
