Nerve: The swelling from the fracture and the cast itself can cause pressure on the nerves to your foot . These parasthesias( pins and needles) are usually normal ; however if they increase in severity or u have increasing pain ass.W/ these parasthesias see your ors. Sometimes the cast and swelling can cause too much pressure and will need 'splitting' or removal. Gl!
