Yes: Yes but of course depending on general health status . Also depending on kind of surgery so aortic surgery has higher risk of complications compared to straight foreword bypass.

Yes : Many vascular procedures have a higher risk associated with them due to the underlying disorders present or the magnitude of the surgeries. A well trained and experienced anesthesiologist should be able to minimize the risks with good planning and peri-operative management.

Yes, GA is used.: We use ga all the time for vascular procedures. Choice of anesthesia is predicated on evaluation of other risk factors prior to surgery, the procedure to be done etc.
