Physical symptoms: Depression has both psychological and physical symptoms. There are changes in sleep, appetite, and energy which can be severe. Also, physical pain and other symptoms can be an aspect of it as well.

Both: Definitely is both as depression is experienced both physically as well as mentally. That is why depression is sometimes missed. The patient thinks that it is a physical ailment.
