Talk to your MD: You may try simple things like sleeping on your side, but you might also consider a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea. If not apneic, your dentist can make you an oral appliance to reposition the mandible and tongue to decrease snoring. So see your md first, then if he/she deems appropriate, your dentist as well.

Evaluation: You need to have a thorough clinical evaluation and any supporting diagnostic tests performed. Snoring is produced by turbulent airflow which can be caused by a number of different things. Something as simple as sleeping on your side may help. Some people can have their dentist fit them for an appliance that repositions the jaw. Some patients may also benefit from the pillar procedure.
