How effective is surgery for the correction of heel spurs?

It can work well, : But shouldn't be considered first line therapy. Surgery is done to release the plantar fascia attachment and remove at least part of the spur. Keep in mind that the spur itself rarely is the cause of the pain. Try conservative measures first--for many months--before considering surgery. And after surgery, functional orthotics are a must. They're actually a must with or without surgery.

Recommend : Conservative treatment first. Conservative care such as orthotics, possible injection therapy is highly effective. I would even consider prp, or eswt (shockwave) before considering heel spur removal.

Very effective: When conservative treatment fails , surgical intervention can be very effective.
