Best treatment for mesothelioma?

Surgery or chemo: Depending on stage of disease. For selected patients, surgical resection may be beneficial, otherwise chemotherapy and possibly radiation are the main treatments.

Surgery...: Surgery has the best chance of extending someone's life that has mesothelioma. The type of mesothelioma, though, determines if surgery is an option. It also needs to be confined to just that one side to have a chance. Otherwise, chemotherapy and radiation can help, but the chance for cure is extremely low.
