Asked a few days ago about unexplained bruising, bleeding guns and hip pain. got bloodwork back. most was normal but i thought platelets was more of a low normal at 159. but monocytes were 10%, a little high. i' m getting stressed because i am very tire

Clotting: You could have a clotting disorder. Check pt and PTT also bleeding time. See a hematologist. Check liver function as well.

Need to examine: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the result you provided are not likely the cause of your symptoms. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests.

Ive been feeling very unwell lately (fatigued, random fevers, easy bruising, nosebleeds) and just had some bloodwork done. Normal number of platelets, but high WBC and low MPV. Three months ago my MPV was 11.2, this time 7.0. Is this change normal?
