What is the difference between marijuana and marinol medicinally?

Synthetic vs whole: Marinol is the active ingredient of marijuana and it is used to treat anorexia/wt loss problems in patients with hiv/cancers etc...It is in its pure/active form. Whole-marijuana has this compound along with many many other substances. Also a big different is marijuana is still illegal in most states. Be good and good luck.

Marijuana better!: The cannabis plant contains over 100 different medically-active cannaboids, whereas Marinol is a synthetic version of the most prominent cannaboid, thc. Thc makes people "stoned" & can help with pain & nausea, but many of the medical benefits of marijuana come from other cannaboids like cannabadiol, that do not make one stoned! most who try both feel the whole plant works much better.
