A member asked:

I'm a 45year old male obese and a heavy drinker, smoked for over 20years. what are my risks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risks for what?: Heavy drinking increases risks of alcohol dependency (with seizures and dt's if you stop suddenly) and major health risks - liver disease, brain damage, pancreatitis, impaired immunity with more infections, and many more. The combination of alcohol and tobacco increase chances of head and neck cancer by 150 times over non-smokers, non-drinkers. Lung cancer and many other cancers are increased.
