I am 75 and just had a ovary cyst found on ultrasound. how do they biopsy it?is that always necessary?

Possibly: An ovarian cyst found postmenopause, may or may not be a problem. It depends on the size and characteristics of the cyst. If surgery is necessary, the ovaries are usually remoed and not a biopsy. Discuss this further with your physician.
