A member asked:

Is there any foods or vitamins that increase resistance against infections(cough & cold) in babies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infections: Babies are born with acquired immunity passed on from their mothers before birth. Unfortunately the effectiveness of these antibodies start fading by 6 mos. Breastfeeding often enhances their immunity by antibodies passed through breast milk against respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. This immunity can be fostered by adequate intakes of fruits, vegetables and protein.
