Weight loss: A negative caloric diet is simply that you take in less calories than you burn. Your doctor or a nutritionist can help you determine your BMR (basal metabolic rate) which is the amount of calories you typically burn in a day. To lose weight you will either need to eat less calories than that, or exercise to burn more. It requires a negative balance of around 3500 kcal to burn a pound.

Calories< than u use: Same thing as a calorie deficit diet to lose weight. If your metabolic rate is 2000 calories in 24 hours including exercise, activities of daily living, basal rate, etc., and you consume 1500 a day, you have a negative calorie diet and should lose weight if you are eating the right type of calories.
