More signs: There are more signs of Downs syndrome than the shape of the eyes and a big tongue. Hypothyroidism can cause the big tong and developmental delay. The definitve test is chromosome analysis. It should be done to put your family's minds at ease.

If there are really concerns there are blood tests that can confirm or exclude that diagnosis.These features alone are of little value in making that determination.
