18 month old: If you are seeing something in his/her mouth, by all means take him/her in. It might be tough to look in there but it can be done. You do not want to ignore things. Always ask your dentist to make sure what is the best thing.

Yes: It is important to use infant tooth brushes, or some type of infant tooth cleaning as soon as baby teeth erupt. Make an appointment at the baby tooth doctor, (pedodontist) and get instructions for home care. Remember no milk or juice in a baby bottle at night ... Water is the only liquid to use at bedtime, day or night.
