Tissue micro-tears: Whenever you use your body past it's limits (like how many lbs a rope is rated for). You risk tearing tissue. There is a limit to what your body is rated for. Torn tissue causes an inflammatory reaction to repair. This causes pain, swelling, limits of use and sometimes scar tissue instead of normal tissue. Scar tissue is permanent, stiff, inflexible. Think & be careful. Damage like this adds up.
