A member asked:

What's the main difference between glucose and a carbohydrate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The same: Glucose is a monosaccharide, a simple sugar. Any sugar or starch is considered a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates can be more complex, like in pasta. They can be less complex like the disaccharide found in milk, which is lactose (composed of glucose and galactose), as another example.
