What should i do if i have a child with diabetes and bad tummy pain?

Call the doctor: Please make sure that your child's blood sugar is ok. With impending illness your child could experience high or low blood sugars. Also, the presence of ketones could cause abdominal pain. A bad tummy ache may also be other things which require medical attention. Please call your peds endo if there are ketones or abnormal blood sugars. Call the pediatrician otherwise.
