What makes it hard for some people to get pregnant and easier for others?

Different things: Yours is a question that can't be completely answered in this forum because the list is so long. Both male and female reproductive disorders can cause infertility, like low sperm count and hormonal problems preventing ovulation, respectively. Female anatomical problems, stress, patient age, certain medication, etc, can also contribute to the problem. This is just a very partial list.
