A member asked:

I had my last child 4 years ago but before that it had been about ten years since i had a baby and i just had an iud put in im 32 years old but i do want one more child how hard will it be to get pregnant once iud is removed and i don't get pregnant easy?

No problem: The iud should pose no additional problem in conceiving. There's only one birth control method that has been shown to prolong infertility and that's the depot Provera shot. As soon as the iud is removed, you should be good to try. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud does cause some thinning of the uterine lining, but a cycle or two and your lining will be perfect.
