There are a variety of different approaches and techniques which are used depending on what areas of the nose need to be changed. This is often done as an outpatient under general anesthesia. Reshaping the nose: Rhinoplasty means to shape and form the nose. I like to do the surgery with incisions inside the nose with the patient asleep. A splint is worn for 1 week and activities limited for 2 weeks. Surprisingly there is usually not that much discomfort. Computer imaging can give you an idea of the result but shown results are not guaranteed.

Nasal surgery: Rhinoplasty is surgery on the nose. Rhinoplasty is not one operation, but rather a collection of various procedures that alter the shape of the nose. Commonly, rhinoplasty is combined with septoplasty. The nasal septum is a wall of cartilage and bone that separates the nasal cavity into right and left sides.
