Allergy testing food: Your response to a shrimp skin test can give you a pretty good idea of how allergic you are. You could also have a blood test. It is important not to try eating shrimp if you have had a serious allergic reaction to a food and you think it is shrimp. It could be dangerous to eat a food you think you are allergic to. The only way to be sure the test is correct though, is to eat it in the dr office.
