Vicodin soma (carisoprodol): Well this is easy - vicodin is a short acting agent and as such should only be used for short periods of time. Soma (carisoprodol) - is a very dangerous medication - it has very little effect on muscles and gets converted to Meprobamate which is highly addictable. Most pain doctors do not write for soma (carisoprodol). So it not recommended to use both.
