Very: Botox carries very little risk. Headache, minor swelling and redness are the main side effects but these only occur right after injection. Long term risks are very minimal. The main risk is getting Botox in a muscle where it isn't wanted and getting for example a droopy eyelid for a week or two. It is safe enough that i get Botox for TMJ regularly.

Safer than peanuts: Botox has been around for decades! there are more deaths from peanuts and penicillin than there are from botox. Botox side effects are generally mild and they resolve without any treatment. There is no chance whatsoever of getting botulism from botox. It is a purified protein not a bacteria. Find a doctor with lots of experience and try it!
