How can you help with a bad cough in a six month old?

Humidifier: At 6 months, it is not a good idea to give cough meds, antihistamines or decongestants. Giving the child extra fluids and placing a humidifier in the room will help. If the child starts running a fever, refuses to eat or becomes very lethargic, see your doctor.
