Cough in a 4 mos old: Cough medications are not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Try saline nose drops it helps clear the nose, sooth the throat & calms the cough. If cough is frequent or associated with fever, wheezing or any difficulty breathing you should take him to his pediatrician . I hope he gets better soon.
