Range 9-15m: A kid generally learns to walk between 9 & 15 months. This is generally adjusted for any level of prematurity. (6wks early adds 6wks to expected first/last date.).

A 37-year-old male asked:
At what age should a child be starting to walk?

Varies, aroiund 1y/o: As with all developmental things, there is no exact time to perform a certain skill, but more a range. Most kids are trying to take those first few tenative steps right around their first birthday. However, some kids walk as early as 9 months, and some kids are closer to 1 1/2 years. If your child is not walking by 15-18 months, best to get a developmental evaluation or talk to pediatrician!
