A member asked:

What would cause my child to consistently tiptoe or walk on his toes?

See below: This may just be a habit. Can you or child place his feet in a normal position? If so, i would not be concerned. If you cannot, he should be evaluated.

Age: Depending on age it could be normal. There are social factors, too, that can play a role, such as the birth of a new sibling. If you aren't sure or if there is a complex medical history, see a foot and ankle specialist with interest in pediatric conditions.
