Tylenol (acetaminophen): If your baby is less than 6 months old, they can have tylenol (generic acetaminophen) to help with the pain. Making sure his pacifiers, toys and bottles are washed in the top rack of the dishwasher or boiled can make sure he doesnt get reinfected. If you are breastfeeding, put some of the Nystatin on your nipples as well so you don't pass it back and forth.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or aspirin: Baby Aspirin or children's tylenol (acetaminophen) may be helpful, but please see your doctor.

Be specific: When you use the nystatin, paint it directly on whatever white patches you can reach with a q tip. It works by direct contact on the thrush.Once swallowed, it no longer helps in the mouth. This should speed recovery.
