Side Effects: I agree the vaccine is not harmful but about 6-8% of patients receiving the series experience joint & muscle aches, headache, back pain, nausea, low grade fever, & malaise by the last dose or with subsequent boosters. The incidence may be much higher--it is hard to get accurate numbers. Some patients(~50%) complain of itching, redness, pain, and swelling at the injection site.

Rabies Vaccine: Potential rabies vaccine side effects include red,itching or sore injection site, headache, nausea, feeling out of sorts, joint pain, fever or hives.
