How does depression affect your family and how do you deal with it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Worry: Depression puts everyone on edge. Something seems to be wrong, but what it is is not clear. This leads to worry. For kids especially the worry inevitably (really) leads to the thought that they might be the cause. So, reassurance that that is not the case is important. Also support, if you are not able to be as supportive all the time, make sure that others can fill in.
