Recommend treatment: You should have an honest and neutral talk with them about how they are feeling and if they think it would help them if they were able to talk to someone about it. It can be tough to try to deal with another family member as the relative may view your statements towards them through the lens of the pre existing family relationship as opposed to looking towards your statements with objectivity.
