Is it possible to get crush syndrome from wearing really painful high heels for a long time?

Heels & crush injury: Crush syndrome occurs when major trauma like getting one's legs trapped under a building after an earthquake occur. Results of wearing high heels for long periods cause an overload to the forefoot and may cause the achilles tendon to shorten, but they will not result in limb loss like a crush injury.

Yes: "crush syndrome" is often used to describe damage to nerves in some capacity. If the heels are painful for whatever the reason and you are wearing them for a long time it is plausible that the pain can be coming from a nerve impingement and if so you can cause damage. Wearing anything that is "really poainful" for an extended period of time is not a good idea.
