Structure/function: Wearing high heels throws your weight on the front of your feet. Your posture and biomechanics is not ideal. This leads to contracted achilles tendons which will make it difficult to stand in flat shoes or no shoes. This will also throw off you stability while walking, often leading to chronic back pain, bunions, hammertoes as well as many other problems, the higher the heel the the of an effect.
